Writing better content is an aspiration of most content marketers, yet how do you fit it into your already busy day? Content creation is a time consuming process. Optimizing your workday is at the top of everyone’s list. We all want to be able to build habits that will help us produce amazing content in less time.
I’ve always wondered how other content creators and bloggers crank out five blog posts a week, guest post, podcast, and write feature articles.
How do they do it? What magic trick do they have up their sleeve to produce such stellar content and maintain success?
The truth is, they’re regular people like you and I. What sets them apart are the daily habits they stick to. Come rain, snow or monsoon floods, they will never stray from their habits that bring them success.
As a content creator there are several rituals I can’t do without. If I don’t fit them in, the day becomes tedious and stagnant. I bet you’re thinking coffee is my go to, but strangely, coffee doesn’t work for me. It creates a state of nervous anxiety, which ends in a lack of concentration. Not good for writing better content.
Here’s are the Daily Habits that help me:
- A 20 minute meditation walk or my “purpose walk” as I like to call it. It’s a fast paced walk combined with affirmations I repeat (in my mind) to get me into a productive, mindful state.
- Lighting a scented candle.
- Listening to music. The music changes of course, based on my mood or the piece of content I’m creating. One day I could be listening to Classical and the next, House music.
You can write better. You can write more than you do now. It is possible. You may be slow at first, but once you create those habits, writing better content will become second nature.
